Well, I've been in college for about 3 months now, and I've been kind of ignoring DA. I really wish I haven't been though. I have a scanner, but no software and everytime I download a driver for it, it doesn't work.
The big difference between art here and art in high school is that here, we do actual drawing exercises like contour line drawing, gesture drawing, EFFECTIVE shading drawings where we learn the actual theory and not just copy from pictures. I feel like I myself am growing much further as an artist already.
I must be because I won the freshman up-and-coming artist award! I'm pretty excited about that.
(had to brag about that, sorry) My goal for this year is to make art in Florence, Italy through a one month program. I need to discover whether or not it would be covered by the school or not, because that would cost an arm and a leg. o__o''
Academic classes... well, I like everything except math. I know how to put two and two together... But Western Humanities is making me very excited and I'm thinking about taking a religion course. OWE (oral and written expression) is pretty cool too. Except for the speeches. I suck at those.
Well, I know no one will really care about this. I just got bored... well, I'll try and get some art on here soon. But sorry, but none of it will be shitty fan art. don't get your hopes up too high, DA.
